§ 15-86. Abandoning prohibited; storage on private property restricted.

It shall be illegal for any person to abandon a stripped, junked or inoperative motor vehicle on the public property of the parish. It shall also be illegal for any person to abandon such a vehicle on private property within the parish or for such property to be located on any property with the exception of places of business and establishments that generally deal in the sale of such vehicles or the repair, maintenance and service of same, such as junk and scrap dealers, motor vehicle repair shops, service stations and businesses dealing in the sale of such vehicles either at retail or wholesale.
