§ 16-62. Composition; location and installation.
Municipal numbers shall be composed of individual digits a minimum height of four inches each and shall be posted on the building in such a manner as to be read from the street, avenue or public way. If the building is not visible from the roadway, the mailbox or other means for visible posting must be numbered. With respect to apartments, all apartment buildings must have approved numbers plus numbers or letters on each individual door of the complex. On new buildings, numbers shall be posted prior to installation of telephone service, and no permit shall be granted for construction until an address is assigned by communication district no. 1. The above and foregoing notwithstanding, nothing in this article shall permit the installation of signs onto the public right-of-way.
