§ 19-401. Created; boundaries.

  • (a)

    In accordance with law and Article 291 of the Constitution of Louisiana of 1898, as amended, and Article 292 of the Constitution of Louisiana of 1913, a road district is hereby created which shall be known as road district no. 6 of the parish.

    (b)

    Road district no. 6 shall be comprised of the following described territory:

    Bounded on the north by the road known as the Five Thousand Dollar Road (now State Route No. 1057) which road intersects the Tchefuncta River a quarter of a mile south of the north line of section 40, township 2 south, range 9 east, St. Helena Meridian, and thence run in a westerly direction through the north half of sections 17 and 18, township 2 south, range 9 east, thence to the southwest corner of section 12, thence through the south half of sections 11, 10, 9, 8 and 7, township 2 south, range 8 east, thence through the southeast quarter of section 12, township 2 south, range 7 east, to the Tangipahoa River; on the east by the Tchefuncta River; on the south by the township line between townships 3 and 4 south, ranges 7, 8 and 9 east, St. Helena Meridian; on the west by the Tangipahoa River.
