§ 1-3. Ordinances not affected by Code.
Nothing in this Code or in the ordinance adopting this Code shall affect:
(1)
Any offense or act committed or done or any penalty or forfeiture incurred or any contract or right established or accruing before the effective date of this Code.
(2)
Any ordinance or resolution promising or guaranteeing the payment of money for the parish, or authorizing the issuance of any bonds of the parish or any evidence of the parish's indebtedness or any contract or obligations assumed by the parish.
(3)
Administrative ordinances or resolutions of the parish council not in conflict or inconsistent with the provisions of such Code.
(4)
Any right or franchise granted by the parish.
(5)
Any ordinance or resolution dedicating, naming, establishing, locating, relocating, opening, widening or vacating any street or public way in the parish.
(6)
Any ordinance or resolution appropriating, transferring, or authorizing the expenditure of funds of the parish.
(7)
Any ordinance or resolution levying or imposing taxes not inconsistent herewith.
(8)
Any ordinance or resolution providing for local improvements and assessing taxes therefor.
(9)
Any ordinance or resolution accepting any plat of subdivision or revoking such an acceptance.
(10)
Any ordinance or resolution prescribing the number, classification, or compensation of any parish officers or employees, not inconsistent herewith.
(11)
Any ordinance or resolution declaring property to be a public nuisance and authorizing procedures for the demolition of same.
(12)
Any ordinance or resolution relating to wards, precincts or polling places.
(13)
Any ordinance or resolution effective for a limited period of time.
The same are recognized as continuing in full force and effect to the same extent as if set out at length in this Code.
