§ 20-133. Parallel to parish roads.

  • Utilities and facilities paralleling parish road:

    (1)

    Shall occupy the last two feet of the right-of-way back of the ditch except where, upon showing of actual necessity, a permit is issued for another location;

    (2)

    Shall have a minimum earth cover of 24 inches (36 inches preferred);

    (3)

    Shall have a minimum clearance of 24 inches below structures;

    (4)

    The placing of utilities on shoulders will only be permitted in cases where back of ditch or bottom of ditch is not possible and only with consent of director of public works of road superintendent;

    (5)

    Shall have a minimum distance of three feet from edge of roadway when placing utilities on shoulders.
