§ 22-64. Authority to designate one-way streets.

The council may from time to time designate specified streets or portions of streets for one-way traffic only. Appropriate signs shall be erected giving notice of such designation, and vehicles operated thereon shall be driven only in the direction designated, and a vehicle shall be driven as nearly as practicable, entirely within a single lane of traffic and shall not be moved from such lane of traffic until the driver has first ascertained that such movement can be made with safety.
