§ 2-113. Regular meetings.
The Tangipahoa Parish Council-President Government shall meet regularly at least twice a month at intervals of at least two weeks. Excepting in the case of holidays, the regular meetings of the Tangipahoa Parish Council shall be held on the second and fourth Monday of each calendar month, with public hearings to begin at 5:30 p.m. and council meetings to begin immediately after the conclusion of the public hearings and at the regular meeting place of the Tangipahoa Parish Council in the Tangipahoa Parish Annex Building's Meeting Room located at 206 East Mulberry Street, Amite, Louisiana. However, if the meeting shall fall on a regular scheduled holiday of the Tangipahoa Parish Council-President Government, then the regular meeting date shall be rescheduled due to a holiday, then the second meeting of the month shall also be rescheduled so as to provide the two-week interval required by Section 2-07 of the Home Rule Charter For A Council-President Government For Tangipahoa Parish. The Clerk of the Tangipahoa Parish Council is directed to publish "Notice To The Public" as to when the Tangipahoa Parish Council will hold its regular meetings in each year annually in compliance with the laws of the State of Louisiana and particularly the Louisiana Open Meetings Law, as adopted and revised (La. R.S. 42:7).
