§ 3-47. Permitted outdoor advertising.
(a)
A permit shall be required from the office of the parish council for each off-premises sign or outdoor advertising structure. An engineering drawing for each such structure shall be required and each sign or sign structure shall comply with the provisions of the building and electrical codes of the parish.
(b)
No off-premises outdoor advertising shall be permitted in any residentially zoned area as defined by any valid zoning ordinance of any municipality in the parish now or hereafter or by any future ordinance of the parish council.
(c)
Approved off-premises outdoor advertising may be constructed, erected and maintained only in areas zoned commercial, rural or industrial or unzoned areas as defined by the latest zoning ordinance.
