§ 5-76. Approval of council, health unit required.

(a)

No permit, whether new or renewal, shall be issued by the sheriff and ex officio tax collector under this article unless the sheriff has received a certificate evidencing the approval of the application for a permit.

(b)

No permit for a new business or a renewal thereof, shall be issued by the sheriff and ex officio tax collector unless he has also received a certificate from the parish health unit evidencing its inspection and approval of the proposed place of business.
