Article VI. REGULATION OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE CONSUMPTION AT PLACES OF PUBLIC ENTERTAINMENT |
§ 5-200. Definitions.
In this article, the following terms shall be defined as follows:
Alcoholic beverages means any beverage containing alcohol and defined as an alcoholic beverage of either high or low alcoholic content in Chapter 26 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes, as amended.
Place of public entertainment means a building, structure or other place in which public entertainment is held or provided but does not include a building or place in respect of which a license under articles II or III of this chapter is in force.
Public entertainment means entertainment specifically including, but not limited to, music concerts, recitals, lectures, readings, entertainment on stage, singing, comedy routines, cinematography, boxing, wrestling, dancing, the providing of mechanical amusement devices, karaoke or other amusement or contest is provided which is open to the public and/or available for use and/or enjoyment by the public and whether admission thereto or use thereof is or is not procured by the payment of money or on any other condition. This definition includes restaurants, pool halls, social clubs, bottle clubs and any other establishment meeting this definition or the definition of a house of public entertainment as provided at Louisiana Revised Statute 33:1236(6).
Proprietor includes the person, company, corporate body, association or entity leasing or occupying or for the time being having the superintendence, management or legal control of a place of entertainment and also includes the agent, trustee, manager, employee or committee of any such person, company, corporate body or association.
