§ 6-39. Fee; term.

  • If satisfied from its investigation that the applicant for a license under this division is qualified to conduct charitable games of chance, the parish council shall issue a license for the conduct of bingo, super bingo, keno and raffles upon payment of a license fee which shall be established from time to time by the council, a schedule of which shall be on file in the office of the parish clerk. Such license shall be good for one year.

    The above and foregoing notwithstanding, there shall be no license fee due for a non-profit organization. A non-profit organization id defined as an organization or non-profit corporation which has qualified for a tax exempt status from the United States Internal Revenue Service.
