§ 4-02. Chief administrative officer.
A.
The council may, by an ordinance approved by the favorable vote of at least a majority of the authorized membership, create the position of chief administrative officer. The ordinance creating the position of chief administrative officer shall establish the qualifications for the office. The chief administrative officer shall be appointed by the president, subject to approval by the council, and serve at the pleasure of the president.
B.
The chief administrative officer shall supervise all departments, offices and agencies of the parish government, and perform such other functions as may be directed by the president.
