§ 19-156. Created; boundaries.

A consolidated gravity drainage district, to be designated consolidated gravity drainage district no. 1 of the parish, is hereby created, to be composed of the lands hereinbelow described located in that portion of the parish composed of wards seven, eight and ward six less and except that portion of ward six which is included in gravity drainage district no. 4, such portion including at least two gravity drainage districts and being less than the entire parish. The boundaries of the district shall be as follows:

Beginning at the northwest corner of section 1, township 5 south, range 6 east of the parish; thence south along the west boundary line of the parish to the southwest corner of the parish; thence east along the south boundary line of the parish to the southeast corner of the parish; thence north along the boundary line dividing Tangipahoa and St. Tammany Parishes to the northeast corner of ward eight of Tangipahoa Parish; and thence west along the north boundary line of ward eight to the Tangipahoa River; and thence north along the meanderings of the river to the south line of section 2, township 5 south, range 7 east; thence west along the south lines of sections 2 and 3 to the intersection of the east line of old gravity drainage district no. 1; thence along such line to the west side of the right-of-way of U.S. Highway No. 51; thence north along such line to the north line of ward six; and thence west along such line to the point of beginning.
