§ 19-857. Powers.

The mosquito abatement district hereby created shall be known and designated as "Mosquito Abatement District No. 1 of the Parish of Tangipahoa, State of Louisiana" (the "district"), and as thus created shall constitute a political subdivision of the state, and shall have all the rights, powers and privileges granted and conferred by the Act and other constitutional and statutory authority, including the authority to levy taxes and service charges and incur debt.
