§ 23-59. Further grounds for suspension.
In addition to the foregoing cause for suspension of the permit, the permit issued pursuant to this article may be suspended on the following grounds:
(1)
That the permittee has intentionally made a material mistake within the application for the permit;
(2)
That the permittee has willfully violated any provisions of this article;
(3)
That the permittee has obtained, or attempted to obtain, the license by fraud or misrepresentation;
(4)
The permittee has been guilty of fraudulent or dishonest practices; or
(5)
The permittee has failed or refused to file reports and records as required under the provisions of this article.
The suspension of the permit for the foregoing reasons shall be issued only after recommendation of the parish engineer, 60 days notice as set forth hereinabove and a public hearing before the parish council. Notice of intent to suspend a permit shall be sent by registered mail to the permittee and the user and well owner at the addresses provided in the permits.
