§ 27-4. Regulations.

(a)

In the event of any environmental spill of sub-surface minerals, chemicals and or contaminated water, in addition to any state or federal entities required to be notified, the Tangipahoa Parish Office of Homeland Security will also receive notification at the telephone number provided.

(b)

Containment will be governed by LOC contained in LAC 43:XIX (statewide order 29)—furthermore containment will meet all State and Federal guidelines as required by law. Plot Plan will be provided to Tangipahoa Parish Department of Homeland Security.

(c)

As parish government considers our environment and our aquifer of vital importance to the citizens of Tangipahoa Parish, government leadership strongly encourages use of non-potable water and encourages the use of recycled flow back water and production water whenever economically and logistically feasible.
