§ 19-192. Powers.

The hospital service district shall be known and designated as hospital service district no. 1 of the parish and as thus created shall constitute a public corporation and political subdivision of the state and shall have all the power and privileges granted by the constitution and statutes of this state to such subdivisions, including the authority to incur debt, to issue bonds and to levy taxes.
